GENESEE | West Seattle Neighborhoods
The small Genesee neighborhood in West Seattle lies in the area west of California Avenue that is north of the Alaska Junction and south of Charlestown Street and the Admiral neighborhood. Genesee is a residential neighborhood that grew in the mid 1900’s as trolley line access to West Seattle drove development in the area. There is no business district in this small neighborhood but the Alaska Junction is at the south east corner and offers a multitude of shops, restaurants, markets and retail. Homes in Genesee generally start around $700k for an older non-remodeled property but exceed $900k for newer, larger or fully remodeled homes.
