The small Meadowbrook neighborhood is part of the Lake City area and centers around the Meadowbrook Community Center, Meadowbrook Pond and Meadowbrook Playfield. Much like the entire Lake City area, Meadowbrook grew into existence in the early 1900’s as Lake City Way took hold as one of the primary northward travel routes from Seattle. There are businesses scattered throughout Meadowbrook although the primary business district is along Lake City Way, which serves as the western border of the neighborhood. Along Lake City Way, residents have access to a large number of shop, restaurants and businesses. The housing in Meadowbrook is exclusively single family homes with price points starting around $350k but quickly going to $600k and above for remodeled or newer properties.
