Loyal Heights is a small community that is part of the larger Ballard area and was once considered a suburb of the city of Ballard before it’s annexation to Seattle. Loyal Heights is nestled between Sunset Hill to the west, North Beach to the north, central Ballard to the south and Whittier to the east. Loyal Heights has been a popular neighborhood in Ballard because it’s almost exclusively residential with mid-century homes of reasonable price points for the area and it also allows residents quick and easy access to the heart of Ballard and all the businesses that has to offer. Loyal Heights has its own small business district along 24th Avenue NW with a small number of restaurants and shops of excellent quality. As mentioned above, housing in Loyal Heights is exclusively single family homes with the majority built in the early to mid 1900’s. Price points in Loyal Heights average between $600-$700k with larger and or newer built homes exceeding that and approaching $1m.
