Victory Heights in north east Seattle is a neighborhood that is part of the Lake City district and was named for the Victory Highway, now Lake City Way, which forms its eastern border. Victory Heights experienced its development and growth in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s as Lake City Way came into its prime as the main route north from Seattle. It is a neighborhood that is very residential in feel with tree lined streets and lot sizes that are larger than standard throughout most of Seattle. There is no business district inside Victory Heights although Lake City Way offers a number of options and Northgate Mall and its multitude of retail and food options is close by. Housing in Victory Heights is largely single family homes built in the mid 1900’s with a small number of newer construction properties. Prices start around $500k for older homes with newer properties exceeding $800k.
