Another thing that was a big plus for us was that he is up to date on technology (electronic documents, digital research) and was available seemly around the clock (simply amazing!!.) “Michael helped my wife and I with our first home purchase. Since this was our first home purchase, we really did not know what to expect. After talking with friends and family about their experiences, it prompted me to write this review. The internet is full of folks venting frustration. It is few and far between one takes the time to talk about a good experience. Often times people think that a "good" experience is the norm. Why go out of your way to note when a person does what they are supposed to do? I'll tell you why, because it is the style that a person does a good job that really sets them apart. That is what we liked about Michael, it was how he did a good job...not just the fact that he did a good job. My experience with Michael was one of ease. He was available, knowledgeable and easy to spend time with looking at houses. He was attentive and quickly grasp on to what we were looking for even though I know I did not do a very good job explaining what we were looking for. He allowed us to work through our short list of "must haves" without spoon feeding it. He was never frustrated when we would be interested in a house that did not resemble our "must haves". Again, he allowed us to shop for a house without interjecting. I could only imagine how frustrating it would be. I don't know if I would have been able to bite my tongue. What Michael did was sit back, take notes and recognize patterns. Once he understood patterns (patterns I was not recognizing) he was able to start to point us in the right direction. You could say he never came across as a parent trying to guide you. After all, no matter what our parents say...we have to make our own mistakes and experience life for ourselves. Again, Michael allowed us to take ownership of the process while strategically pointing us in the right direction. I cannot stress how important it was that we never felt like Michael was impatient. When spending all day Saturday and Sunday you MUST be spending time with a person that is just as interested in looking at homes as you are. Once we found the house, it was easy. Working through financing with Michael as well as the real estate transaction put much more working knowledge with Michael as he negotiated the terms. I think the best way to put this, is that instead of holding our hands...Micheal stood shoulder to shoulder with us. That is the style I am talking about. Michael was our advocate and at no point did it feel like he was a salesperson. I really wanted to take the time to write this because it was important to share a good experience.
